Environmental dates are selected dates to create awareness
on environmental issues. I have listed the recognized dates for 2019 and
hopefully, this helps you take action via direct engagement with citizens in
your locality or social media campaigns.

the importance of environmental education and to promote a harmonious
relationship between the natural and human activities.

World Wetlands Day: To raise awareness about the
importance of wetlands to mankind.

International Straw Free
Day: To raise
awareness about the problems caused by plastic pollution and advocate to reduce
straw and plastic waste.

World Day of Social Justice: To raise awareness about
justice for all people which cannot be separated from justice for the
environment.

dwindling polar bear population which is as a result of global warming.

Human Rights Day: To raise awareness about human

Earth Overshoot Day (This year’s date has not been calculated but it was celebrated in August last year and it has been receding every year): To raise awareness on man’s overuse of finite natural resources.
